Bonecovery
A cozy minesweeper
Bonecovery is a game inspired by the minesweeper, wrapped in a cozy point and click game about dog and paleontology. Play as a team of dog scholars digging fossil bones in Southern France.
For those who never played the minesweeper (or for the unlucky who are stuck with the uncomplete jam version), here is how it is played in Bonecovery:

In addition, you can use the theodolite button once per dog. It gives you precious indication on the number of bones for each row and column, just like this:

Disclaimer
The game is currently in its jam form. Instructions and feedback are lacking, and some of the art is not finished yet. I hope you'll still be able to enjoy the game, but if it was too confusing for you, know that I will definitely upload a cleaner, more polished version of the game after the jam. Don't hesitate to comment on the game though, I'll try to take your comments into account!
Information
This game was made with Godot 4.5 for the 87th Godot Wild Jam (https://itch.io/jam/godot-wild-jam-87), under the theme "Decay". I also tried to implement two wild cards: "Fusion" which was all about merging genres and "Lights out" which enticed us to use the night as an elementof gameplay/story.
Credits
The game was developed alone by Ghislain Thiery (https://pleistogames.itch.io/) in approximatively 20 hours. All graphic assets were made by me without the help of any generative AI. The music was made by Kevin Colombin (https://kounine.itch.io/).
If you liked this game, you can also play Bonesweeper by Cheeseness (https://cheeseness.itch.io/). I came up with the idea of a 'fossil minesweeper' alone, but I came across this game when I was doing research on minesweepers. The dev is working on a better version called Fossil Sweeper - go check it out!
